Birthday girls!

Today, Chaya and Anjali turned 1 year old! One year ago today, our lives were changed forever. We worked so hard, and wanted them for so long, we are so happy, proud and lucky to be the parents of these precious little girls. They are so funny and sweet. Of course, it was very stressful at times taking care of 2 babies, especially at the beginning, but since they've been around 10 months old, I really find it a lot more fun being with them all day, and not too stressful anymore. They are happy girls for the most part. They love to dance to music, laugh at mommy and daddy being silly, practice their walking (they are both taking 3 steps now!), look at and pet the dogs, and they love every animal they see (squealing with excitement and pointing whenever they spot a cat, dog, or bird when we're out on a walk). It's so neat watching them learn things so fast. We've been doing sign language with them since birth, and they both recently started doing the sign for "dog" on their own, without us doing it first. Hoping they pick up a few more real soon. "All done" would be a nice useful one. ;)

We had a great day with the birthday girls. Daddy came home early, we played a lot, opened their 2 presents from uncle Eric, aunt Liette and cousin Salome (from Montreal), and we took LOTS of pictures to remember this special day. Here are some of those photos.
