Uncle Rana and Sophia visit us

Prosanta's brother Rana, and his girlfriend Sophia, came to visit us in Baton Rouge for a few days. The girls finally got to meet their other uncle! Rana was quite excited to hold and kiss the girls, but they were very shy at first and cried every time he even came close to them. Rana finally got to hold Anjali when she fell asleep the night they got here. And the next day, the girls had finally warmed up to him and Sophia, and were happy to have him hold them. We had a good time with them for the few days they were here!

Happy valentine's day!

Valentine's day photo shoot with 9 month old girlies.. Anjali has the black skirt, Chaya is in the red.

We decided to go on a family Valentine's day date! ;) We took the girls to dinner at Chili's. Didn't want to go to a "fancy" date place, in case the babies were loud, didn't want to bother people on their dates.. ;) They were good and we had a good time.

Mardi Gras cajun dance

We decided to take the girls to their first ever cajun dance! Prosanta and I used to go twice a month, we met some nice people there, learned how to do the cajun waltz and cajun two-step. They have a live band that plays cajun music, it's a lot of fun! We stopped going when I was pregnant when my back started to hurt, and hadn't been since we had the babies for obvious reasons... But now that they're a bit older, we know they like music, we decided to give it a shot! Wasn't sure if they would have fun, if they would think it's too loud or too crowded, but they did so well! They took turns taking little naps (it was from 8-10:30pm), but when they were awake, they were happy and content. We had a great time, and our friends finally got to meet them! Here are a few photos and a video of daddy dancing with sleeping Anjali in his arms. Happy Mardi Gras!
